Abstract

The present work considers one of the manifestations of the “split identity” in Mapuche poetry, a discursive expression of the hybrid character of their culture, through the analysis of Viaje al Osario by Juan Pablo Huirimilla, a poetical macrotext formed of Hombre Muerto, a metaphor of the voyage to the other word, and Osario a metaphor for the historization of the voyage to the world of the dead.
